The Ingrid 38 is a heavy displacement bluewater ketch designed by William Atkin and derived from Colin Archer's famous double-enders, inspired by Viking boats renowned for their heavy-weather characteristics. The ultimate classic cruising boat — sea-kindly, stable, the kind of boat that behaves herself in rough water and can be depended upon to sail herself. The current owner, a boat mechanic and Captain, has sailed her from Mexico to Panama, lived aboard over 10 years and recently overhauled her thoroughly: fresh paint, new cushions, new sail covers, Volvo 25 HP engine overhauled only 300 hours ago, new fridge, 1500 W electric windlass. Fuel tanks full — you just need to drop the dock lines and go.
